The student drama club performed their SanDaBaiGuJing for an impressed audience at London School of Economics to celebrate Lantan Festival and The Year of Tiger,
Here are some of the exercises the students have done. Teacher:WangMin.
LMS pupils and parents joined many others to celebrate the year of the Tiger on 20 Feb 2010. The new Chinese Mayor of the Borough of Redbridge, Thomas Chen, has invited our pupils to perform traditional Chinese dances and songs to celebrate his first Chinese New Year since he was elected as Mayor . Thomas is known for his active involvement in many different voluntary activities. He has been to LMS several times to promote the British Red Cross and many other charitable courses.
Our school has played a leading role as a Model School in promoting Chinese culture exchange with local communities during the Chinese New Year.
With the help of parents and teachers, Zhang Zizhou has successfully organised a concert and has rasied nearly 200GBP for LMS. About 30 students and a music teacher participated in the performances and the theatre was packed. At the end an extra row of chairs had to be added. A big thank you to Zhang Zhizhou and his supportive family.
This is a wonderful idea for the children to practise. It offers them the opportunity to learn the skills which cannot be learnt in classrooms. And the school beneftis too.
Come on, talented children of LMS. It is one of our happiest moments seeing you doing this kind of activities, music or others.
